Preloved Boutique mini haul and review!

at July 28, 2015 0 comments
Right now I am on holiday in Newquay, Cornwall and near Newquay is a lovely place called Truro! I've been here plenty of times before but this time I found a lovely shop called Preloved Boutique.

This little shop made my day! Even after I got back to the campsite, I was still thinking about it. Everyone was really friendly and made the whole trip a really lovely experience.

Basically the Preloved Boutique is a shop where they take good quality pre-loved clothing from high street stores - such as New Look - and then sell it on. Wear and tear of clothing is at a minimum and if there is any, it is explained on the tag.

I bought a New Look drop hem skirt and a New Look maxi skirt. Both of which were in excellent condition and the maxi skirt still had the original label attached!

I recommend visiting this shop 100% if you're ever in Truro. If you can't get to Truro then you should give their website a visit. They also have twitter and instagram.

Thank you all for reading, I really appreciate it!

I hope you all have a lovely day,

What I've taken on my holiday! (beauty) #30daywriter

at July 25, 2015 0 comments
I'm finally on holiday! Yay!

Today I'm going to show what beauty products I decided to bring along with me because, although my make-up collection isn't very big, I didn't want to take it all.

The bag I took is just a small travel make-up pouch that my sister gave to me because she had two! I managed to fit everything in here except for the body mist.

  • Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Powder
  • L'oreal Paris True Match Foundation
  • Benefit Hoola bronzer
  • Maybelline New York The Nudes eyeshadows
  • Collection blush
  • The Body Shop Almond hand and nail cream
  • Maybelline New York Brow Satin
  • Love Me mascara
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
  • Maybelline New York gel liner
  • Zoella Kissy Missy
I honestly don't think I'll be wearing foundation most days, but I wanted to take it just in-case! However things like, mascara and eyeliner, I'm sure I will wear everyday!

Thank you all for reading, I really appreciate it!

Halsey Outfit Inspired by! Day 24 #30daywriter

at July 24, 2015 0 comments
Just like Ruby Rose, Halsey is another one of my fashion icons!

Everything that she wears... I wish that I could wear too.
My favourite thing is the skater skirts! I found a few BooHoo that I really liked which you can find here and here
I also found another one from ASOS which you can see here.

It's common to see Halsey in crop tops as you can see above and below. I found two crop tops from ASOS that reminded me of Halsey so so much! You can find them here and here.

Not my GIFs, I didn't make any of them!

Ruby Rose outfit inspired by! day 20 #30daywriter

at July 20, 2015 0 comments
When season 3 of 'Orange is the New Black' came out on Netflix, everyone very quickly made Ruby Rose the apple of their eyes.

Since learning about Ruby Rose, I have become very intrigued in her sense of fashion! Which prompted this outfit inspired by!

One thing I have noticed is Ruby wears basketball shorts A LOT! I found these from River Island that reminded me of Ruby so much! There were a few more that I saw on the River Island website but I also found these dungaree shorts from the New Look website which I also thought were very Ruby.

In terms of shirts/vests I found this, this, and this from River Island all of which would look good with the shorts or dungarees!

If you're feeling the outfit isn't enough then you could piece it together with a leather vest or jacket!

That's it for today, I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much I enjoyed making it! I'm going to leave you now with this GIF! (Which wasn't made by me!!!)

Lord have mercy!

Beauty Haul! Day 14 #30daywriter

at July 14, 2015 0 comments
Yesterday I went into town to buy some new products and I ended up getting quite a lot, I don't think I've ever bought this much make-up and beauty products in one trip in a while.

I won't be explaining if any of the products are good or not because I haven't had chance to try them properly and I've never owned any of these previously.

In Superdrug I bought two items from Zoe Sugg's new beauty product range. I bought the Kissy Missy lip balm and the Let's Spritz fragranced body mist. These both smell so lovely and I'm especially excited to try the lip balm because the only other lip balms that I own are from the body shop, so it will be nice to branch out and try new ones.

Also from Superdrug, I bought a new lipstick! It's from Maybelline New York and it's in the shade 150 (Stellar Pink). The colour is a really nice shimery pink, which I'm becoming pretty obsessed with! I also got an eyebrow pencil because I never do anything with my eyebrows and I'd really like to start.

I then stumbled upon the Benefit counter in Debenhams because I've been wanting to get the Hoola Bronzer for quite some time now and I finally decided to go for it. This is the first high end make-up product I've ever owned and, in all honesty, I think it will it stay that way for quite some time... I'm sure I will love the bronzer very very much but I don't enjoy spending so much.

Maybelline New York The Nudes! Day 12 #30daywriter

at July 12, 2015 0 comments
Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog!

Yesterday I was out most of the day and then I had a friend over so I didn't get chance to write anything. While I was out I bought the Maybelline New York The Nudes pallet and I shall be telling you my first impressions!

So, the packaging is very nice; it's quite compact and easy to store away pretty much anywhere. I really like the colour contrast between the text and the case, I think they made a good decision. Overall, I think it looks really simple and very chic.

The colours vary from matt to incredibly shimmery. I think this pallet will be really good for those natural make-up looks with a sparkle. When I swatched the shades on my arm the colours were quite pigmented however, the shimmery shades were a lot more pigmented.

Overall I think this is a lovely pallet that can be used to dress-up a make-up look as well as tone it down by adding a neutral shade!

Thank you all for reading, I appreciate it so much.

I hope you have a lovely evening,

My favourite lipsticks! Day 10 #30daywriter

at July 10, 2015 0 comments
I have made it to day 10! I will be honest, I didn't think that I would be saying that...

Anyway, today I am sharing with you my favourite lipsticks!

First on the list is Rimmel London's Lasting Matt Finish by Kate Moss in the shade 107. This lipstick is a very deep red with a purple undertones. It's one of the very first lipsticks that I ever bought and I'm still obsessed with it! The colour is really pigmented; you're able to build it up to be really vibrant. The only bad thing that I don't like is that it isn't very moisturising and can make your lips feel - and sometimes look - quite dry and cracked. But all-in-all, I really like it.

Next on the list is Bourjois in the shade 'peach club'! I've spoke about this previously in my June favourites and my What I got for Christmas post. I still love it so so much! The colour looks really pretty and applying it is really easy.

My last favourite lipstick is Rimmel London Colour Rush in a bright pink colour (it doesn't say the shade name). This lipstick is really creamy and moisturising, which I love! I don't have many creamy lipsticks but this is definitely my favourite. The only thing I don't like about this lipstick is the colour, I think it's too bright for me so hopefully I'll be able to find more colours that I like.

Thank you all for reading, I really appreciate it!

I hope you all have a lovely evening,

Summer accessory wish list! Day 9 #30daywriter

at July 09, 2015 0 comments
I haven't been accessory shopping in so long and I though it would be cool to take you all along with me. Here is what I have found...

My Crowing Glory sells the most beautiful flower crown headbands and since my favourite flower crown has recently broken, I've been looking for some new ones! Each and every flower crown that My Crowning Glory sell are unique and handmade, which I think is really cool.

I've always been very fond of the cat ear headbands because they are adrorable but recently I can't find them anywhere but then I saw this at New Look! I think this is just too cute and if I do ever buy it then you should be prepared for the endless selfies...

Back onto the topic of flower crowns, I have just found this one at Topshop and just fallen in love! The colours look so pretty!

Thank you all for reading, I really appreciate it!

Have a lovely evening,

Journals! Day 8 #30daywriter

at July 08, 2015 0 comments
Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely day!

Today I started a new journal and I thought it would be a nice idea to share with you my best journaling tips to getting started!

First of all, you need to buy a book. If you've never kept a journal before then a smaller one will probably be more suitable because finishing a first journal feels pretty good!

If you don't know what to do on the first page then leave it blank! You can always go back to it. I've done this many times because I'm scared of messing it all up!

That leads me one to my next point! Please don't be afraid of messing up a page of your journal! Only you will know that this is a 'bad' page. If you are scared of this a 'wreck this journal' might be a good idea because it teaches you that it's okay to go wrong sometimes!

Lastly, take it around with you! Doodle in it in public. Just have fun with it, there are no wrong or right ways to journal!

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it :)

Outfit inspired by Ashton Irwin: summer edition! Day 7 #30daywriter

at July 07, 2015 0 comments
Today is Ashton Irwin's birthday and to celebrate I decided to do an outfit inspired by him! I haven't done one of these in a really long time so maybe today is the day to get back into it.

Ashton seems to like a good long sleeved shirt once in a while as you can see here...

and here...

so I found this from Pop Boutique that reminded me of Ashton as soon as I saw it.

If you are a fan of 5SOS of Ashton himself, you'll probably know about his - and the bands - love for black skinny jeans but I thought these would look lovely when paired together and more 'sun-friendly'. Obviously, if you want to rock it with black skinny jeans, then be my guest because they will great too!

I also found this cardigan that reminded me of Ashton because of this photo...

So this isn't usually how I do an outfit post but this time it was a lot more fun to piece together and a lot quicker too!

I'll leave you here with this gif...

I did not make this gif!

Summer Outfits! Day 6 #30daywriter

at July 07, 2015 0 comments
Yesterday I wasn't able to post because I wasn't feeling very well but today I feel a little better so I'm going to be posting twice to make up for not posting yesterday!

Today I am sharing with you my go-to summer outfits!

First on the list is a dress from Mary and Milly's

I love this dress because it's so loose fitting, although you can make it more fitting as there'a  a tie at the back but I prefer it like this.

The next is a dress from We Are Cow in Topshop.

I like this dress for the same reason that I like the first one; because it's so loose fitting! This one is a little shorter though, so I'd probably always wear tights with this one. The material is so soft and feels lovely when I'm wearing it.

The last outfit includes these jeans! They are hand-me-downs from my sister because she never wears them but I'm kinda liking the patterned pants this year. I have no idea wear these are from because the label gives no indication.

I really like to wear these with my white lace crop top and sandals. I think it's just a really cute summer outfit that you can wear anywhere you like.

Thank you for reading! I really appreciate it!

Almost empties! Day 4 #30daywriter

at July 04, 2015 0 comments
I have made it to day 4! And to be perfectly honest with you, I think I'm doing okay.

Today I am sharing with you my almost empty products! This post will probably seem like a 'Collection' advert but I promise it isn't... I just really like their products.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (1, fair)
I'm almost certain that this shade is the lightest concealer that Collection have. I really like the consistency of this product; it's quite creamy and goes on really easily. It does say that it lasts up to 16 hours, I think this only applies with the Collection Lasting Perfection powder. In my experience, it doesn't last too long without the powder (which is understandable). I'll definitely be buying this product again, in my opinion, this product is petty good all round.

Collection Little Mix mascara
This is my favourite mascara that is in my make-up bag! I honestly never leave the house without it on. I think, for the price, it's amazing! It isn't gloopy and it dries quite quickly so marks around the eyes are kept to a minimum. Obviously there are better mascaras out there but I'm going to keep using this one.

Collection Extreme 24-hour eyeliner tip.
Although I probably won't buy this one again, or at least in the near future because I want to try gel liner as a lot of people are saying that they find it easier and more tolerable, I still think that this a good product all round. This eyeliner is very cheap and for the quality of the product, the price is amazing! It has lasted SO long and I'm really quite impressed with that, other felt tip liners that I have used usually run out within a couple of weeks. I think it's really good for beginners because you can't really go wrong with it. It's very easy to apply and I would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to try felt tip liners!

Thank you all for reading, I really appreciate it!

Party make-up: Eyes day 3 #30daywriter

at July 03, 2015 0 comments

Tomorrow I have my friends birthday party and because I haven't been wearing make-up for the past week-or-so, I thought I should practice and decide what I want to do before tomorrow comes along and I start panicking!

The thing that gets me riled up the most is my eye-makeup because sometimes it just never goes the way I want it too! The worst is winged eyeliner! My eyes are very slightly hooded so getting eyeliner to cooperate can be frustrating.

Although today (and hopefully tomorrow) it went reasonably well! Everything seemed to go smoothly and there were minimal tears - which is always good, right?

The products that I used for this eye make-up look:
  • Rimmel London Glam'eyes HD
I used the lightest silver shade all over my lid and right up to the brow bone.
  • Love Me sunset eye shadow trio
I used the middle shade all over my lid and the darkest shade to go through the crease and the outer and inner corner.
  • A random black eye shadow (I have no idea what brand  it is)
I applied this after the eyeliner just above the wing and right to the crease as well as just underneath my bottom lashes.
  • Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner
This is when I cried! But it also worked out quite well because I think it looks pretty decent!
  • Benefit 'They're Real' mascara
I used one coat for my top lashes and my bottom lashes.

So there we have it! I really like how it turned out and I hope it looks good tomorrow as well!

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it!

Hello everyone!

If you read my last blog post you might be aware that I had some exciting projects going on, however I couldn't tell you what it was because nothing was finalised!

But all that has now changed and I can now announce that I am opening an online shop with Redbubble! Yay!

For a while now, I've wanted to have my designs and drawings on real life products and now I can finally do it. There's only a few drawings live at the moment but I'm hoping to get more posted in the next few weeks.

The links to everything will be down below. I hope you are just as excited as I am about this! This is just the beginning, I have so many more ideas for where I want to take this and I'm glad I'm sharing the journey with all of you.

June Favourites! Day 1 (#30daywriter)

at July 01, 2015 0 comments
If you follow me on twitter, you may be aware that I have taken on the challenge of writing everyday during July! I've tried writing everyday before, however, after a week I'd most likely give up. But I promise that this month I will complete the challenge!

As it's the first day of the month, I have decided to show you all my favourite beauty products of June!

First on the list is an old favourite! It's the Bourjois, Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade 'Peach Club'. I got this for Christmas and from the get-go I was in love! I wore this on Christmas day and ate a whole Christmas dinner and it was still there! The durability is amazing, I don't think I ever re-apply it throughout the days that I wear it. As much as I love this product, it does dry out your lips so I would recommend moisturising first! I also wore this for my everyday Spring make-up look!

Another thing that I have been enjoying throughout June is the Real Techniques 'multi task brush' to help blend my concealer under my eyes. When I first bought this, I used it for finishing powder and it works great for that too. I think using it for concealer under the eyes gives it a nicer finish rather than just using my fingers or a foundation brush to blend. It's also incredibly soft to touch and very gentle for under my eyes, which is something my foundation brush lacked.

That's it for today!

I'm sorry there wasn't more to this post, it's been a slow month for beauty, for me, unfortunately.

Thank you all for reading, I appreciate it so much and I'll see you tomorrow!
