What I got for Christmas!

at December 29, 2014 0 comments
Hello everyone!

You are probably aware that Christmas has been and gone by now and therefore that may explain all the new videos and blog posts explaining to their audiences what they got for Christmas. It also probably doesn't come to a surprise to you all that I shall be doing the same. I would just like to may a disclaimer to say that I am not bragging in any way, shape or form! I am very grateful for everything I have gotten for Christmas, I just thought that it might be nice to share it with you.

  • 'Fashion that changed the World' by Jennifer Croll
This is a book that I have been wanting to get my hands on for some time now and I am so so so happy that I can finally read it without a shop assistant yelling at me to inform me that their shop isn't a library.
The book covers so many different categories of fashion that have happened over hundreds of years which includes, royal fashion, fashion photography and the one I am most excited to read about, feminism and fashion!

  • Harry Potter: the complete film collection
Okay, so I know what you're thinking, 'why hasn't she already got them?'. It's a question many asked me when I told them that it was on my Christmas wishlist. Well... the truth is, I have never watched Harry Potter. Before you start to freak out, I would like to point out that I will be completing a Harry Potter marathon. Now you may proceed to freak out.

  • BOURJOIS Rouge Edition Velvet in the colours Peach Club (04) and Grand Cru (08)
Peach Club: I wore this colour on Christmas day and I am so happy that I did because I absolutely loved it! I never usually wear pinks/peaches or anything with orange-y undertones and it is the only reason I wanted this colour. Throughout the day I only had to re-apply it once although I could have gotten away with not re-applying it.

Grand Cru: I am going to wear this on Boxing Day (and probably New Years too) because this is a colour that I am most comfortable wearing. I love to wear shades of red and colours with purple undertones.

I also got a laptop for Christmas as well, the main reason for this is because of college and this blog too. Hopefully now, I will be able to post more because I have my own work space (instead of always stealing my dad's laptop).

Now that the festive season is practically over, I wish all the best to your 2015 and may it be filled with smiles and a lot of laughter.

Thank you for reading, I love you all,
Bee xoxo

Merry Christmas!

at December 25, 2014 0 comments
Hello everyone! How are you all?  I haven't made a post in a while (even though I was supposed to be doing blogmas) so I thought it would be nice to write you all a little Christmas message.

I hope you are all having a lovely day today and spending it with the people you love and care about. I'm spending my Christmas at my Grandma and Granddad's house along with my mum, dad and little sisters.

Fortunately, Santa Clause came to my house last night and so I have been blessed with presents which I may show you some in a future post. I'm so thankful for everything that I got today and if Santa went to your house then I hope you are also thankful.

I will probably post again very soon, I just wanted to give a quick little message to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Also, I apologise for not participating in blogmas! I haven't been very organised in the recent weeks but hopefully next year shall be better.

Thank you for reading!

I love you all,
Bee xoxo

Blogmas Day 11: my winter playlist!

at December 11, 2014 0 comments
I've been gone a little while therefore I've missed several days of blogmas but it's all okay now because I'm back and ready to get straight back into things!

Today I'm going to share with you all my winter playlist. Now, I'm not the one for the traditional Christmas songs; in fact, I'm not into any holiday music of the sort so there will be no Mariah Carey 'All I want for Christmas is you' and there will be no Bublé. BUT there will plenty of other music that you can chill out to. So here the top ten in my winter playlist.

1. Fireproof - One Direction

2. Head in the Clouds (acoustic) - Union J

3. Photograph - Ed Sheeran

4. Just a Little Bit of Your Heart - Ariana Grande

5. Still Into You - Paramore

6. I Miss You - Blink 182

7. Adam's Song - Blink 182

8. Girls and Boys - Good Charlotte

9. Come as you are - Nirvana

10. Save Rock and Roll - Fall Out Boy

There we have it! The top ten songs in my winter playlist! Do you like any of the songs? Or how about any of the artists? Tell me!

I love you all,
Bee

I need some inspiration for what I'm going to wear at Christmas so I decided it would be a nice idea to make a mood board of different looks so when I go shopping for my Christmas outfit, I'll be a little more decisive.

Outfit 1:

No, I am not some crazy cat lady but I do really like cats and so when I saw this dress,  I had a mini heart flutter. Animal themed clothing never usually interests me but there's something about this dress that has me converted. (I think it's the bow tie).

Outfit 2:

I love this dress! It looks so elegant with the pattern on the skirt yet seems so chic with the skater skirt style. I also find the colours to be very intriguing as they're quite dark and fit with the theme of winter.

Outfit 3:

I realise that this dress looks like a young child's school uniform but in my opinion... It looks great! There's not much to say about it other than the fact that I really like it and it's probably my favourite out of the four.

Outfit 4:

This is probably more of my sisters style because I'm not usually the type to wear stripes whereas she is, but the skater skirt pulled me in once again! I think this dress is my least favourite; if I was to buy it for Christmas it would probably be worn once and then not picked back up again afterwards so I think this one is a definite no.

I hope you're all enjoying blogmas so far! I'm sorry my posts are always up so late; I only click 'publish' when I'm connected to wifi, which is usually after 7pm.

I love you all, thank you for sticking with me, I really do appreciate it,

Bee

Blogmas Day 4: Gift ideas for everyone!

at December 04, 2014 0 comments
These are the type of gift ideas that literally anybody could have. Whether it's new music or a really great new book, almost anyone would be excited to see these underneath the tree on Christmas morning.

  • A New CD or Record?
I've always been under the impression my whole life that pretty much everyone enjoys some form of music. I have never encountered someone that doesn't like music in some way, shape or form. Therefore, I highly doubt that this could go wrong. So much new music has been released this year, like Ed Sheeran, One Direction, 5SOS and even Taylor Swift. However, I don't recommend buying a devout heavy metal fan a Sam Bailey CD or vice versa.

  • Chocolates!
Now I do know for a fact that not everyone can eat chocolate so I do recommend finding out if chocolate is something of their liking, if not then there's other tasty sweets and treats such as fudges or caramels. Anyway, if your friend DOES like chocolate then they are going to love you this Christmas, am I right? Or am I right?

  • Books!
I understand not everyone enjoys reading but there are some books that you just can't go wrong with. I have a friend who cannot stand reading, she hates it with a passion and would much rather be up and moving than sat down reading. Although, she does enjoy looking at beautiful scenery so photography books do wonders for her. So just because someone doesn't enjoy reading, a book could still make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

That's it for today, I'm sorry that I only gave you three brief ideas but I am also terrible at gift buying so giving advice on this subject is quite hard too.

Love you all,
Bee

Blogmas Day 5: Winterlicous Tag!

at December 01, 2014 0 comments
I saw this tag A LOT last year so I thought that this year because I am doing Blogmas that I would also partake. If you would also like to do this tag then please feel free to do so.

1) Favourite winter nail polish?
This will be something new for you all to hear but I am allergic to the smell of nail polish (as well as the smell of other things too such as yankee candles). Which is really sad because I love nail art and it would be something really fun to learn. :(
 2) Favourite winter lip product?
I am in love with Collection's Little Mix range of lipsticks but my favourite is Perrie's colour. It is gorgeous purple colour that it just perfect for these autumn and winter months.
 3) Most worn winter clothing piece?
My winter coat! I love feeling warm and cosy so I don't think I have left the house this winter without my big fluffy coat.
 4) Most worn winter accessory?
I've never been an accessory type of person but I do love wearing band/artist merch so it's very rare that you'll see me outside without my BriBry beanie on my head.
 5) Favourite winter scent/candle?
Again, I am allergic to scented candles so no candles for me this year but I love that crisp fresh air smell on winter mornings.
 6) Favourite winter beverage?
I  think I'll stick to my flavoured water this year.
 7) All time favourite Christmas/holiday movie?
I don't think you can beat elf, right?
 8) Favourite Christmas/holiday song?
I know for a fact that you can't beat 'Fairytale of New York' by The Pogues.
 9) Favourite holiday food/treat?
This isn't very Christmas-sy but every year my Grandma makes the best sausage rolls.
 10) What is your favourite Christmas decoration this year?
The Christmas tree, definitely. My mum and sisters always make it look so cute and pretty.
 11) What’s at the top of your wish list?
I really really really hope that I get some band merch (5SOS 5SOS 5SOS).
 12) What are your plans for the holidays this year?
Every year I go to the stables to see my beautiful horse, and then I go up to my Grandparents to have Christmas dinner with them which should be lovely as always.

If you would also like to do this tag then here are the questions:

1) Favourite winter nail polish?
2) Favourite winter lip product?
3) Most worn winter clothing piece?
4) Most worn winter accessory?
5) Favourite winter scent/candle?
6) Favourite winter beverage?
7) All time favourite Christmas/holiday movie?
8) Favourite Christmas/holiday song?
9) Favourite holiday food/treat?
10) What is your favourite Christmas decoration this year?
11) What’s at the top of your wish list?
12) What are your plans for the holidays this year?

Blogmas Day 3: A different type of Christmas

at December 01, 2014 0 comments
Many people see Christmas as happy time and a special day to spend with family, friends and those who mean the most to us.
It's a time to spread joy and to smile and laugh until it hurts.
Some people don't have a Christmas like this though.
While you're relishing in new gifts and lovely cooked food, please remember those who are not as fortunate as us.
To all of those spending your Christmas in a place not called home, I'm sorry and I hope that you are at least spending your time with those who care about and those whom you love.
To all the doctors and nurses who work on Christmas, I thank you for your incredible services to us. I'm sure I'm speaking for many when I say that I am so grateful for you. Your job isn't an easy one and I can't even contemplate what it might be like spending Christmas without family.
Keeping people like this in our thoughts only puts things into perspective.

And remember, some people are so poor, they only have money...
